If you need to go some place that you have not gone before, you can look at a map. The maps now have detailed information. You can now find Satellite photographs, Aerial photographs, and even street view photographs. This makes an unfamiliar place now familiar even before you ever arrive there.
You also can watch film clips kindly made by people who have driven there before. Many people use G.P.S. devices to assist them while traveling, but nobody needs a G.P.S. while you have the benefit of films to watch!
A person who has saved continuous hours of driving is at BigRigTravels. If you need to go somewhere you have never been, The BigRigTravels videos most likely has your route. Sometimes it has several footage of that route. When the route has new road construction or building construction, it is interesting to watch for the differences.
Unfortunately, these are not meant for your use.
I have found BigRigTravels with YouTube. But BigRigTravels is supposed to be its own website with a photo album (or a link to a photo album), real time updated information, and the front and center of the website: A BLOG. Similar to this one.
The person running BigRigTravels is actually several people, and hosted by a freight driver of a "Big Rig". His main job is to drive and haul freight (most likely groceries) in the continental United States of America. He happens to also have several dash cameras and a Verizon Internet service to stream in real time. He uses You Tube to keep his streams available for playback.
The YouTube channel is free, but it should not be free. The person of Big Rig Travels does not have a professional and public personality. He seems to have a professional public personality most of the time, but there are things he does that you must avoid.
If you read his blogs to see what he is doing or if he is safe, you will find comments, including from his mother, that complains about everything. She does not like people that do not look as her, think as her, and behave as her. Her comments is an endless rant about other people and how she declares they must behave. She is from Texas, and I am certain she tells her son to keep out of Texas as it is not as "United" as she would like it to be. Instead, Texas is much more cosmopolitan and is becoming more cosmopolitan every moment. Other regular viewers also comment with similar attidutes.
If you watch his live stream, he has a chat box which can be viewed after the stream has ended. You will have people pretending to be polite but talking trash while technically being G Rated. Yes, you can talk trash while being G Rated. The majority of Animated Cartoons in the United States are G Rated, Y rated, or Y7 Rated (7 is still a child age) because animated cartoons in the United States are supposed to be for children. This means that animated cartoons in The United States are supposed to be "safe" to watch and not contain any "offensive" words. But at the same time, any animated cartoon talks trash. The BigRigTravels chat talks more trash compared to the worst of anything on television.
Here are more things to know about BigRigTravels:
The films are meant to show "America", not traffic levels of the United States. It is not even meant to show the roads nor other infrastructure. It is meant to show "America". What "America" means is a place to be isolated, and a place to bully others that do not look as you, think as you, and behave as you. America means a place where "people" (but not everybody) is welcome and so are dogs. These "people", along with dogs, behave as they are not from Earth. They look around at everything, not understanding what they see and hear. If they feel they like it, they are entertained. If they do not like it, they destroy it.
He likes to drive through the smallest of towns and on the narrowest of roads. He will even stop at the towns whenever he can. He has a Segway (an upright scooter) that he rides through the towns. These towns have reputations of being "quiet", "safe", and "friendly". However, they are not and they do not want to be filmed! As he Segways into the small towns, he has been chased by loose dogs. There are a few times where he is confronted by the denizens, or at least asked to leave, to not go any further on their property. It would be nice stop promoting these smallest of towns. Let them promote themselves when they are headlines on the news where the denizens are upset over a fatality "How can this happen in our little town?!" but he will continue to promote these towns. It is his preference, but why lie?! If they are truly friendly, why are they small?! If they are safe, why are they on the news?! If they are quiet, why do they speed?!
Another thing to watch out for is his reposting of "Sunday Videos" to his blog. This also indicates a lack of professional and instead more of a "If you are not similar to us, we do not want you here.". Patriotic Holidays and other occasions that have not yet been declared official, he also celebrates on his blog.
He likes to yawn. Avoid people who look as him, especially when they are yawning. Whenever they yawn, that means that they are bored. When they are bored, they want to destroy something.
Another thing to watch out for is his comments about other people that do not look as him, think as him, behave as him. As typed before, they talk (and type) trash while being G Rated. One of the people he mentions is "Aunt Jemima". Aunt Jemima is a mascot for pancakes, waffles, and syrup. She is supposed to rival Mrs. Butterworth. If Aunt Jemima was a real person, it is unlikely she was ever paid to be a mascot. The phrase "Aunt Jemima" is a trash word for Native African Person.
He says things about Aunt Jemima being a bull frog, and he likes to leave her behind on a log. Whenever he (or people similar to him) are upset, they say these types of things.
I do not want to hear it. I only want to watch the traffic conditions and the road conditions that he films. I am not interested in any form of his personality.
As far as I am concerned with Native Africans, they are a weak and cowardly and very stupid group of people that are never left alone. While most Native Africans do not promote danger as safety, they are stupid in other areas. This stupidity results in constant invasion of their lands, by mostly people who love dogs and who think that being chased out of an isolated small town as friendly. I do not want to hear about any of that mess when watching what appears to be a road traffic, mapping tool film series. Unfortunately, it is not.
Many people do not understand that his main job has a schedule. It is (or seems) nice that a person would film the traffic (and even the parking lots!) but people want him to drive immediately upon request.
After being distracted by "Aunt Jemima" for the last time, I decided to comment to him about his usage of Aunt Jemima, and if he is so "Family Friendly" and hates cussing, why is he using the phrases "Elephant Pee" and "Cow Poop"?! These phrases (including Aunt Jemima) are as rude as any cuss word.
His response says he says that my "demands" are unacceptable. He also recommends that I find some other place to watch. This means that I am not welcome to watch any of his films. If you do not agree with any thing that he says and does, you are not welcome either. That applies to his films or in even the same parking lot as he is.
I decided to review BigRigTravels, or Big Rig Travels. I have never donated to him. (You have to be excellent for me to donate.) I recommend that you do not donate to him either.
As I type this, his films are made for the general public to watch. If he only wants similar people to watch him, it is best that he paywall his films. Unfortunately, he does not.
Let's look at what he has done:
2007
he has began publishing to You Tube. These are very professional. He only speaks about the road and the destination and the date. You might also hear from his GPS which he sometimes talks to or even argues with. HOWEVER, HIS STREAMS ARE FROM U-STREAM, AND CANNOT BE VIEWED. He played music, most likely "country" music, based on his rant. I have not watched his streams, but they are most likely unprofessional. If you ever comment or request a change to his videos, he will not. Instead, he will mention "I have been doing the same thing for [] years!". This is probably what he is talking about, forgetting that his YouTube at that time was professional, and his streams, no longer available, are not.
2015
he began to save his streams on U Stream.
At the end of January 2016,
he decided to publish his streams on You Tube.
In 2017, and especially in 2018, based on a "Make 'America' 'Great' Again" presidency, he and many others have displayed trash talking attitudes, with others being violent also.
The quality of many You Tube people have decreased. There is a group of people that demand obedience. There is another group of people who became obedient. This is annoying to somebody who wants to watch road traffic updates.
He began talking about "Aunt Jemima" and I think that is the first time he ever talked about Aunt Jemima, along with suspicious yawns.
Next years films will most likely be more intense.
I thought I would be fine if I stayed away from his silly little blog, his silly little Road Crew (people who comment the blog and the chat room), and his silly little comments about "America" and Sundays, Holidays, and tiny angry isolated towns. ... I thought he could keep his views and expressions to his website (and blog) and out of the films themselves.
But he is not able nor willing to do that simple thing to ask.
That is be cause it is not a simple thing to ask for people such as him. There are no exceptions to it. It is what he enjoys doing.
I would like to say that those types of people keep it ENTIRELY to themselves (do not destroy things) and keep it at their houses. But technically, he does not stay with his mother. He stays in a freight vehicle. That IS considered his home. He is (or seems) kind enough to invite you to it, but you must leave if you are bothered.
This is normally understandable, except that he is the only one that broadcasts in real time for the very many hours. It would be a simple thing to ask to be professional, but since when are celebrities professional?!
Time for me to leave. I will unsubscribe his You Tube and perhaps there will be other traffic updates to watch. He implied that I, and others who disagree with any thing that he does, are not welcome.
I suppose that I will have to make more of these films my self. I would probably be a freight driver, but those vehicles are becoming robotic. Even he of BigRigTravels will need to retire from driving them.

Railstream, and
Virtual Railfan has security footage of passing trains. There are many to watch. These are never ending streams. Some are free while others are paid. You cannot play the previous streams.
Cabview Holland Dutch Railways has films of the passenger train cab view. These trains are battery electric. They can operate without the electrical power lines. There is an annoyance be cause they do talk. They have to talk be cause they talk on the intercom. This is annoying be cause DART Rail uses recordings and almost never speaks on the intercom. These are films and they do not seem to have streams.
Train Driver's View has several streams to choose from. They are never ending streams of the view from a train.
Roadtrip China has films of roads in China. The roads in China are impressive. Many are underground. Others have to enter tunnels. China's infrastructure is three dimensional be cause of the mountains.
Chinese Bridge provide more detail about the infrastructure of China. They have bridges span mountains, trenches, and in between. They have interchange ramps to climb to the next level of roads.
I shall post in separate entry about even more things to watch. I will review them accordingly. If they are as horrid as BigRigTravels, I will publish more reviews.
There is no intention to hate BigRigTravels nor the Aunt Jemima company (and certainly not any Aunt Jemima). I never even wanted to know about the personal beliefs of a driver. If they do not want comments about things they could stop doing, they should stop doing them. Or even better, do not ever do them in front of an audience. Keep it to yourself, or at least a fully paid subscription if expressing your "humor" is more important compared to being professional for the general audience.
